Formosa 2

376MW offshore wind project approximately 4 to 10km off the coast of Miaoli County, Taiwan, consisting of 47 fixed-bottom offshore wind power generators. All 47 turbines were installed in January 2023 and have been connected to the grid since March 2023. The project was the first offshore wind project to be completed after the COVID-19 pandemic in Taiwan and is critical to supporting Taiwan’s green energy transition. Formosa 2 has also secured the support of Taiwan Power Company under a 20-year Power Purchase Agreement.
